Rajeswari Pradeep Kumar Elevated To General Manager, Group Corporate Communications At Murugappa Group

Rajeswari Pradeep Kumar has been elevated to General Manager, Group Corporate Communications at Murugappa Group. She moves up from Deputy General Manager and Head of Group Corporate Communications, where she led the conglomerate’s corporate communication mandate.
In her expanded role, Kumar will lead corporate communications and stakeholder engagement for the diversified business group. Her mandate includes shaping communication initiatives and narratives that reflect Murugappa Group’s values, purpose and legacy.
Before taking on the group-level role, Kumar served as Assistant General Manager – Corporate Communications at EID Parry, a Murugappa Group company. She later moved into group corporate communications and progressed to Deputy General Manager before her latest elevation.
Kumar brings about 25 years of experience in corporate communications, brand building, marketing and reputation management. Her career includes leadership roles across communications, marketing and business functions, giving her a broad view of stakeholder engagement and strategic storytelling.
Under her leadership, Murugappa Group’s corporate communications team was recognised among India’s Top 30 Corporate Communications Teams in 2026 by Reputation Today. Kumar received the recognition on behalf of the Group at Thrive, The Global Public Relations Immersion, held in Colombo.
She was also named Communicator of the Year – Corporate Communications Professional at the E4M PR Women Achievers Awards. These recognitions underline her contribution to corporate reputation, communication strategy and leadership within the industry.
