Vi has unveiled a refreshed brand identity and brought Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on board as the face of its upcoming campaign, ‘Vi badal raha hai… tayaar rahiye’. The development signals the beginning of a wider brand transformation as the telecom operator prepares to introduce new launches, campaigns and customer experiences in the coming weeks.
At the centre of the refresh is Vi’s signature visual particle, which has been redesigned as a fuller, dynamic three-dimensional sphere. The sphere, previously placed below the letter ‘i’, has now moved to the top of the brandmark. The updated visual expression is intended to convey movement, energy, optimism and the possibilities the brand sees in its next phase.
The new identity will be progressively deployed across Vi’s consumer touchpoints, digital platforms, retail outlets and brand communications, with the rollout beginning from September 1. The redesign retains the familiarity of the Vi brand while giving it a more contemporary and future-facing visual character.
Shah Rukh Khan’s association is expected to add mass appeal and cultural relevance to the transformation narrative. The actor will feature in the teaser-led campaign, which positions Vi as a brand that is changing and asks consumers to stay prepared for what comes next. Vi has said that Khan embodies the energy, ambition and optimism it intends to bring to this new phase.
Abhijit Kishore, CEO, Vi said “This is not simply a logo refresh, it is the first expression of the evolution we are bringing to the Vi Brand. It reflects our ambition for Vi and commitment to shaping what telecom can be – an experience that makes life more rewarding, and full of possibilities for our customers.”
He added “Over the coming weeks, this evolution will come alive with strategic launches, new campaigns and a range of experiences that will shape how we engage with our customers. The new identity captures optimism an optimism for everything that is possible today, more importantly for what we can bring to both; our retail customers and enterprises in the future as a tech co.”
