Mohalla Tech, the parent company of ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV, has announced a strategic partnership with Double Tap Films, the microdrama studio of Pratilipi, to distribute 75+ highly engaged stories across its platforms. The deal expands Mohalla Tech’s microdrama slate by tapping into Pratilipi’s extensive repository of audience-loved narratives, now adapted into short-form video for India’s massive social and entertainment user base.
Through the collaboration, Double Tap Films’ best-performing stories originally crafted as written content and later produced as microdramas will be adapted and distributed on ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV, reaching viewers in multiple Indian languages and regions. The partnership brings together Pratilipi’s strong IP library and storytelling expertise with Mohalla Tech’s large-scale distribution ecosystem, enabling popular narratives to move seamlessly from text to engaging micro drama formats.
This move follows Mohalla Tech’s recent push into creator-led and genre-driven short-form entertainment, including the launch of India’s first creator-led gaming micro-drama, THE MISFITS, in collaboration with Double Tap Films and digital creator Techno Gamerz. That series, commissioned exclusively for ShareChat and Moj, blends gaming, streaming and youth storytelling, and premiered on August 20, 2026.
The new 75+ story pipeline is expected to deepen engagement on Mohalla Tech’s platforms by offering bingeable, mobile-first drama series tailored to regional audiences and short attention spans. For Double Tap Films, the alliance offers a ready-made distribution network to scale its microdrama productions beyond Pratilipi’s own app and website, while reinforcing its position as a leading studio in India’s fast-growing vertical entertainment ecosystem.
By combining proven story IP with platform-native formats, Mohalla Tech and Double Tap Films aim to make microdrama a core content vertical driving watch time, creator opportunities and brand-safe inventory for advertisers across ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV.
