Canva Launches Tamil Ad Campaign with Fundamental & Still Waters Films

Canva has launched a new Tamil brand campaign conceptualised and executed by independent creative agency Fundamental and Still Waters Films, demonstrating how its AI-powered visual suite helps everyday users overcome creative doubts.
The campaign uses a reality television judging panel format to playfully dramatise the pressure people face when creating content. Whenever a protagonist doubts their skills, an imaginary judging panel appears to question whether they can meet professional design standards.
Across three distinct films, the campaign highlights common user scenarios. The first story features an aspiring video creator trying to edit trending social reels. The second follows an office employee racing against time to finish a corporate presentation. The third shows a small business owner designing promotional posters for her handmade Athangudi tiles shop.
In each scenario, the protagonists turn the critique around by opening Canva on their phones and laptops. The films demonstrate how features such as Magic Video, AI-powered Presentations and Magic Layers simplify complex editing tasks, enabling anyone to produce polished creative work quickly.
Once the designs are completed, the critical judges are won over, breaking into applause and celebration. The films conclude with the Tamil tagline, “கேண்வாவுடன் நீங்க கலக்குவீங்க” (With Canva, you will rock!).
