Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) has unveiled TATA.CARS as its new consumer-facing global brand identity, unifying its entire portfolio of hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles under a single master brand as it enters what leadership describes as its “next chapter” post-demerger. The rebrand will be rolled out progressively across dealerships, digital channels, service touchpoints and marketing communications, while the company’s legal name and corporate structure remain unchanged.
The new identity is anchored in the brand promise “Nothing’s Too Far”, which Tata Passenger Electric Mobility’s Chief Commercial Officer Vivek Srivatsa described as a statement linked to the aspirations of a new generation of Indian car buyers. The visual and sensory system is built around a design philosophy called Parallel Pathways, with Ambition Blue as the principal colour, a bespoke typeface named Parallel Display and a new sonic identity.
“More than a new brand identity, it is a declaration of intent for the future we envision. Anchored in the promise, ‘Nothing’s Too Far’, it conveys our belief that mobility should open doors, embrace possibilities and empower people to get closer to what matters most to them.”
“As the world moves towards a more connected, intelligent and sustainable future, TATA.CARS will continue creating breakthrough products, experiences and ecosystems that help customers unlock new possibilities and pursue their ambitions without limits.”
— Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director & CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd
The rebrand formalises how Indian customers already refer to the company’s products as “Tata cars”, and brings both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) models under one umbrella, with Tata.ev continuing as a sub-brand for EVs and dedicated EV dealerships. Existing vehicle nameplates and the iconic Tata ellipse on cars will remain unchanged, and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd will continue to be used for statutory, regulatory and investor communications.
The move comes nearly a year after Tata Motors was demerged into separate commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles companies, and is seen as a step towards giving the PV business a sharper, more distinct consumer identity in a market where SUVs, EVs and digital experiences are becoming key differentiators. Alongside the rebrand, TMPV has scheduled an analyst and investor conference on September 2, 2026 to discuss business performance and mid-term growth targets.
