Balancehero India has named Soumyajit Ghosh the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Company. Under the ai-powered financial technology platform True Balance, Balancehero India has emerged as a leader in the fintech space. With more than 18 years of industry experience in leadership and a strong background in data science, analytics, business, and risk management, Soumyajit is poised to ensure unparalleled growth and operational efficiency of the company.
Soumyajit Ghosh worked as the Chief Business Officer at IndiaLends before joining Balancehero India, and became one of the important reasons as to why the company turned profitable for the very first time in its history. In the ten years he worked at IndiaLends, he gained experience in a number of leadership roles, which included the head of revenue, analytics, and risk management, spearheading marketplace business growth. His earlier professional experience includes specialized positions with Accenture, PwC, HSBC, and Capital One in the areas of risk analytics, business strategy, and predictive modeling.
A distinguished graduate from Indian Statistical Institute, Soumyajit not only holds a Master’s degree in Statistics, but is also known for his expertise in the fields of machine learning, AI-driven analytics, and risk management. In the B2C and B2B digital lending markets, he has spearheaded the creation of analytics and risk divisions, proprietary risk assessment models, and digital lending frameworks.
