Apple has appointed Prasidha Menon as Head – Product Communications for India, bringing in a seasoned communications leader to steer product narratives for one of its most important growth markets. Based in Mumbai, Menon assumed the role in July 2026 and announced the move on LinkedIn, saying she is excited to join a company she has long admired for its approach to innovation and the role technology plays in everyday life.
In her new role, Menon will lead product communications for Apple in India, overseeing how the company introduces and explains its hardware, software and services to consumers, media and key stakeholders. The appointment comes as Apple continues to expand its retail presence, localise its marketing and deepen engagement with Indian customers through flagship stores, online channels and community initiatives.
Menon joins Apple after more than three years at Airbnb, where she most recently served as Brand & Product Communications Lead for Asia Pacific, having earlier been Head of Communications for India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Her career spans over 18–20 years across technology, travel, healthcare and mobility, with senior roles at Optum (UnitedHealth Group), OYO and Uber, where she led communications for India and South Asia and earlier worked as product communications lead for India.
She began her career in communications and editorial roles, followed by close to five years at Edelman India and a stint at Genesis Burson‑Marsteller working with Microsoft India’s corporate communications team. With deep experience in product PR, brand strategy and reputation management, Menon is expected to play a key part in how Apple tells its product stories in India as it scales manufacturing, retail and services in the country.
