PowerUp Money has appointed Tushar Sharma as its Head of Marketing. The move comes as the mutual fund advisory platform looks to scale its brand and user acquisition efforts. Sharma will lead all marketing functions for the company. This includes brand building, product marketing, customer acquisition, and growth initiatives.
Sharma joins PowerUp Money after a stint at Upstox, where he worked on brand and marketing strategies. Before that, he was with Games24x7 as Associate Director – Brand Marketing. His experience spans across fintech, gaming, and digital consumer businesses. He is an alumnus of MICA, where he studied between 2015 and 2017. This background is expected to help PowerUp Money sharpen its messaging and reach more investors.
In his new role, Sharma will work closely with the product, data, and business teams. He will focus on building stronger brand recall for PowerUp Money. He will also drive campaigns to attract new users and engage existing ones. The company said his appointment will support its goal of making mutual fund investing simpler and more accessible for Indian investors.
PowerUp Money is a SEBI-registered mutual fund advisory platform. It offers tools for fund selection, portfolio review, and rebalancing. The startup is backed by investors such as Accel, Peak XV Partners, Blume, and Kae Capital. It is currently in talks to raise around $10 million from Flourish Ventures and others.
