Saregama India Limited has announced that Vinay Pillai will take over as CEO of its subsidiary Pocket Aces Pictures Private Limited, effective October 1, 2026.
Pillai has been with Pocket Aces since 2020, initially joining to scale Clout, the company’s talent and influencer management arm. Over the years he has held multiple leadership roles, including VP at Clout, Head of Strategy, and most recently Chief Business Officer, where he oversaw business operations and growth across the company’s digital content and creator ecosystem.
A computer science engineer and Columbia University graduate, Pillai’s prior experience spans founding the streaming startup Dekkho, leading TVF Play at The Viral Fever, and working in consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton. This mix of tech, content, and strategy is expected to help Pocket Aces deepen its position as a digital entertainment powerhouse under Saregama’s ownership.
The move follows Saregama’s steady increase in its stake in Pocket Aces, now at 95.76%, and comes as the digital studio reports FY26 turnover of around ₹142 crore and a base of over 95 million digital-first customers. With Shrivastava focusing on long-term strategy from the Board and Pillai stepping into day-to-day leadership, Saregama is signalling a new phase of professionalised, scale-focused growth for Pocket Aces across short-form content, creator management, and branded entertainment.
