Bajaj Electricals has appointed Krishnan Sundaram as Chief Growth & New Business Officer, effective August 11, 2026, in a newly created senior leadership role aimed at accelerating the company’s growth agenda and expanding its business portfolio. The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting on August 6, 2026, and Sundaram has also been designated as Senior Management Personnel under SEBI listing regulations.
In this role, Sundaram will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and scaling new business opportunities, strengthening Bajaj Electricals’ portfolio, and driving innovation and category creation to support long-term expansion. He will report directly to the company’s top leadership and work closely with business heads to shape and execute the growth strategy across consumer durables, lighting, and emerging businesses.
Sundaram brings over 26 years of experience in business management, growth strategy, marketing, innovation, category creation and P&L leadership. He joins Bajaj Electricals from Vini Cosmetics, a KKR-backed personal care company, where he served as Chief Executive Officer from August 2024 to August 2026. Prior to that, he spent more than two decades with Hindustan Unilever and Unilever PLC in leadership roles across India and global markets, including Vice President & Business Head – Nutrition, Vice President – Global Marketing Transformation & Capability, and General Manager – Beverages, where he led brand growth, category management, and the integration of the Horlicks business.
Shekhar Bajaj, chairman, Bajaj Electrical, said, “We are pleased to welcome Krishnan Sundaram to Bajaj Electricals. His extensive experience in building businesses, driving innovation and creating new categories will bring valuable perspective to our leadership team. We look forward to his contribution as we continue to strengthen our portfolio and create meaningful value for our customers and stakeholders.”
Sanjay Sachdeva, managing director & CEO, Bajaj Electricals, added, “We are delighted to welcome Krishnan to Bajaj Electricals, where he will lead our growth and new business agenda. His strong consumer-centric mindset, commercial acumen and experience in driving transformational growth will be valuable as we identify and scale new opportunities. We are confident that his leadership will contribute meaningfully to the company’s next phase of growth.”
The move comes as Bajaj Electricals looks to sharpen its focus on growth and diversification beyond its traditional lighting and consumer durables businesses, leveraging Sundaram’s FMCG and personal care background to explore new categories, premiumisation opportunities, and adjacent markets.
