Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Anurati Tandon as Head of Digital B2B Business, marking a significant leadership transition within the broadcaster’s digital monetisation framework. Tandon, who was previously serving as Chief of Staff to the MD & CEO, will take over the mandate from Manish Aggarwal, who is exiting the company after nearly seven years.
In her new role, Tandon will be responsible for driving the growth and reach of SPNI and SonyLIV’s digital platforms in the B2B business. She will join the leadership team of Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sports and International, SPNI, as part of the company’s integrated monetisation strategy spanning linear and digital platforms.
Prior to this appointment, Tandon worked closely with the CEO’s office on several strategic projects and initiatives, with a focus on revenue and business growth. Her experience in strategy and business transformation is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the digital B2B mandate.
Tandon will continue to support the CEO’s office for the next few months while transitioning into the new role, ensuring continuity in strategic initiatives. Her appointment comes as SPNI continues to consolidate its linear and digital monetisation operations under a unified revenue framework, aiming to unlock greater value from its content ecosystem.
Manish Aggarwal, who Tandon is succeeding, played a key role in building SPNI’s Digital B2B and Syndication Business during his seven-year tenure. His departure marks another leadership change at the broadcaster, which has been streamlining its organisational structure to adapt to the converged media landscape.
