
Sony Pictures Networks India appoints Subhojit Roy as Vice President – Ad Sales. With 20+ years of leadership across TV Today, ABP Network, and Viacom18, Roy brings strategic vision to drive ad revenue growth.
Subhojit Roy has been named the new Vice President of Ad Sales at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI). Roy is a well-known media professional with more than 20 years of experience in ad sales, content monetisation, strategic planning, and revenue leadership at some of India’s top media companies.
Before joining SPNI, Subhojit worked in high-level positions such as Vice President of Sales and Strategy at TV Today, where he was in charge of client partnerships and revenue strategy. He was also the Head of Revenue and Strategy at ABP Network, where he pushed for new ideas in branded content and integrated advertising models. As Head of Voot Studio and AVP Digital Sales at Viacom18, he was in charge of the company’s digital efforts, which included making money from original content and branded content.
He has worked in a lot of different media, including Zed Studios, Reliance Broadcast Network, and sales and marketing jobs at Sharon Solutions and IFB Industries. In all of these jobs, Roy was able to build and grow revenue ecosystems, make strong connections with advertisers, and push for new media solutions.
Roy is expected to be a key player at Sony Pictures Networks India in improving the company’s ad sales on both linear TV and digital. His experience with cross-platform monetization and branded content will be very useful as the industry moves towards more integrated and performance-based media buys.
Sony’s decision to hire Roy is a strategic move to strengthen its position as a leader in the media business as it prepares to come up with new ways to deliver content, engage audiences, and make advertising more effective in a competitive market.
